Hey Einstine - Keith Adams - 20:01 06-12-05

You wouldnt have probably noticed this amongst the other replies to
your Voodoo Child post. I didnt read any of the others but heres my
opinion whether you like it or not.
You aint no Hendrix but hey...who the hell is? I can honestly say
thats one of the best renditions of that song that I've ever heard.
Your vocals went well with the song and your timing and playing were
good. It impressed the hell out of me. I'd like to have people to jam
with that could play as well..

Damn. Thanks Keef.

I just love good jams and have all my life. Ever since I heard my Dad play
some Tom Paxton cd's. I work for a living but my number one hobby is
once again guitar playing. For about 7 years it was computers, but they
aren't as much fun and they don't get your rocks off. Well, I guess if you
go to certain sites..............

Here is what I posted on another reply......

I apologize for uploading this to the 'beginner' newsgroup. I should
have looked for the 'alt.guitar.chronic-amateur' group. I gig about
once a year, blow tons of money on gear but I don't think I have ever
been paid for playing.

Don't tell my wife.

This is a 'Paying Homage' FYI-

The Yamaha RX7 drum machine is written using the real tab for Mitch Mitchells
drums and Noel Reddings bass (were both of them there for that session?)

I recently put in the bass lines from Tommy Shannon for the bridge and
chorus because they sounded so much more focused (and that is what my
son had played so it sounded better to me).

I love Jimi and Stevie (and the Doors, Stones, Zep, Dylan, Paxton, Petty,
etc., etc., on and on.).

Jimi's original was much more free-jam and mystical while Stevies versions
are more direct but badass (in my opinion).

SRV was an incredible guitar player but if there had been no Hendrix to
write V C do you think SRV would of ever came up with enough creativity
to do something similar on his own? He was good at doing other
peoples music . Boring as hell otherwise.
