GFS pickups - Tony Done - 13:18 05-12-05

I just installed a GFS "Brooklyn" DeArmond (in previous posts I have
referred to it as a Filtertron style, my mistake, sorry) style humbucker
size single coil pickup in my OLP bari. It seems outstanding for the price,
excellent "compressed" tone (it sounds almost clipped), reasonable note
definition in chords, good output, excellent string to string balance,
silent in front of my MV spotlights which cause a lot of noise on some
pickups (including humbuckers). It is also jammed full of potting wax, which
squirted out when I adjusted the polepieces.
I'm going to order the matching neck pickup, and maybe a couple of others
for my next lap steel.

I bought three humbuckers from them right before Katrina and I still
haven't put them in, yet.
I need to do that this weekend.
