what are these like.
I have the chance to buy a SW209cen (cutaway semi acoustic 6 string)
mail order for half price.
But are they any use?
Anyone with experience??

Half price of what? Stagg's are already pretty cheap.

half list price - sorry!
in the uk it's list is 170 uk pounds.
I've found it mail order for £89

That's not half price, that seems to be the going price in the UK. If you
want it still cheaper, try in Germany --only 79 euros for basically the
same guitar!
If you ask me though, you're throwing your money away. There's no way you
can get even a half-decent acoustic for that money.
An electric, well, it's possible. But electric's are easy and the pickups
do all the work.
But an acoustic requires some real craftsmanship.

Can't say anything about the semi. Tried one or two solid body Staggs
earlier this year. The overall finish loked OK, but the necks didn't
have a nice feel.
