The overdrive/distortion pedals sound much better through an amp that
they do on the behringer website. The clips on the website sound (to
me) like they were recorded direct and not through a miked amp..

I bought the Chorus and the EQ through a mail order company. The chorus
sounds pretty good. Its worth much more than the $20 I paid, but it is
not built like a Boss. If you are a touring musician, don't waste your
time - buy the real thing. but it does sound good. As for thr EQ, it
does a good job of tone shaping, but the boost is crappy (harsh
sounding), and the sliders feel really cheap. Again, worth more than
$20, but not as nice as a Boss. I assume that noone will EXPECT them to
be as good as Boss pedals, but they do have a place.

They are what they are.
I know one thing... If any of my tube amps sounded like that, I'd be
trying to fix a problem! The tone settings are also off on the demo's
(to my ears and my system, at least). Most are too bottom happy. To
hide buzz? Listen to the "Wires" cut on the OD100, one cut where they
do give more high end. HORRIBLE buzz!
If that's the best they can do for demo's, I'll pass.
I'm not big on effects. But I've purchased both the Digitech RP50 and
the RP200 for my nephews. In fact, I still have the RP200 sitting at
home. I'd suggest buying a used RP. For the price of one to three of
the Behringer boxes, they offer FAR, FAR MORE.
When I do use effects, I use my original TS9 (modified to 808), and
sometimes my vintage Maestro Fuzz Tone. In comparison, the Behringer
pedals sound like a bad joke.
