Damn.....I didn't catch even one clunker note through that whole
passage. Sweet. The muted staccato section was especially cool. Someone
should send that link to Yingyang Malmsdork with the simple message
"piss off wanker". I enjoyed that far more than anything he's ever done.

I agree. You cannot judge another culture by their culture's guitar
face.
And speaking of kids with guitar chops, I'm surprised noone has posted
a link to this yet:

That girl is Xuefei Yang and that video must be quite a few years old...
Today I noticed an ad on a music store door, about Xuefei Yang giving a
concert in a couple of weeks here! Unfortunately, I have to be at my shitty
work at the time of the concert, which makes me so angry.
BTW, she seems quite older in the ad, so she is not a little girl now and
obviously she went on with guitar playing.

I have to correct myself. It seems that many people think the girl on the video is Xuefei Yang, but this isn't the case, according to this forum thread:
http://www.guitarists.net/forum/view.php?forum=33&thread=27755&display=15&sort=asc&page=0
" Her name is Jie Li. Below is some information I've got.
"Jie Li's performance is not the best among Chen Zhi's students, but she has got something that is very special...Especially when you listen to the first piece "Serenata espa?ol" in her album. The rhythm is different from that of a lot of other players (a little bit rubato, if you want to put it that way),...
Among Chen Zhi's students, Xuefei Yang (www.xuefeiyang.net) is the most successful and most acclaimed. She is going to have a new CD released by GSP this year (I don't know why she did not get a better label to do it). Yameng Wang had a great CD from GHA. Her style is more sophisticated and I found it more meaningful to me than Yang, although she did not had as great opportunities as Yang.""

The trick is to actually *find* the video, then just download it. Flash
makes it hard. There are progams that sense video streams, then just grab
it. The one I use is called 'SDP'... There's not much more I know about
it, except there was a Beatles broadcast on NPR that I wanted - this
grabbed the whole 2-hour show and saved it as a WMV file.. Look for it -
SDP.
