GAS Attack - Sasquatch - 00:11 30-11-05
|
|
Alright, I'm just needing prodding and justification, I know. I'll admit
that much. I found a brand spanking new Hamer Studio with a quilted maple
top with an emerald green stain laid to it. It's mahogany, has Seymour
Duncan pickups, Schaller keys, and plays like butter. It sounds like a
dream. And it is on clearance for $999. Too good to be true? The only thing
I noticed wrong is a belt buckle scratch on the back. I say hell with that,
give it a year and it will have more than that if I own it. I take care of
them but I play them. I have a Les Paul and an SG and it plays as good or
better than them. Should I?

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.
Do it! Do it! Do it!
(You really asked the wrong - or right - crowd, ya know.)

You can't go wrong with a Hamer. I own a 97 Special with Duncans, 59
and JB ...and beautiful flame top...currently my favorite guitar,
plays fantastic.

Money = guitar
Guitar = music
Music = happiness
...............................Therefore money = happiness...wait, I forgot
to carry the 2.
Ahh, just get the dang thing! (Probably at Sam's in Rivergate?...lol)
My next G.A.S. attack might be cured by one of the new Kustom 36 Coupe amps.
They have them at Shiloh in Mt Juliet. 36 watt all tube amp with a 12"
speaker, channel switching, lead boost, and an "Old-School tuck and roll"
panel on the front!! $500 right out of the box! (Pardon me whilst I wipe
the drool from my chin)
Happy shopping Sas!!

Why not offer less money if you are on the fence? The worse thing that
can happen is they turn you down. If this is a GC type mega-store,
don't bother with the floor people, ask for a manager and make the offer
to him/her.

Thanks for the replies. I told my wife she is outvoted but that didn't sit
well. I think I'm going to go the forgiveness over permission route as
suggested above.
Jim, I tried to talk them down but they held firm. It is one of the USA
models, it's a Studio Deluxe with a AAA flame maple top. Yeh, I've been
back. And I'm going back tomorrow.

You reckon I could confuse my wife long enough with that math to make a run
for it and get it?

It's actually at a real small local store. I'll tell you where that is after
tomorrow ;-}

I accidently hit enter before I finished. They are selling it below their
cost according to them, because it (1) Has a scratch on the back, plus some
minor scratches on the front. (2) They lost the paperwork that goes with it
and they are no longer an official dealer. (3) The color is green.
