Im just curious, why dont we ever see Eric Clapton or whatever on any sort
of newsgroup? is it because they are so busy that they cant use the net or
they just think we're too lowly for their time?

Stanley Jordan was around, a few years back. Somebody else, but I can't
remember the name.
If I was a "rock star," I'd be incognito. So they could be here for
kicks, staying anonymous. But I get the feeling that guys who tour and
play don't have time for news groups. Lotta guys that sit at desks and
have time to kill, though. Lots of frustrated would-be rock stars. ;^)

If it were me it would mainly be because I was too busy and/or wanted to
stay anonymous (I'd do it behind a pseudonym). If you listen to interviews
you'll find obviously quite a few of them get on (and Google themselves) but
stay hidden. Though as horrible stuff as is said about ALL famous people
you'd have to have a thick skin. I know Marlon Brando said he used to get on
and correct facts in websites he'd find about himself (can't remember
whether he did with a fake name or not).

Over the years with the various Papyrus Nascar Racing Simulators, people
drove online races with real Nascar Racers (Dale Earnhardt Jr. being one)
and most never new it.
Most :)

I never tried that thing online, except 1 to 1... That papyrus nascar
was
the cats ass though . Pretty realistic. I still drive it every once in
a while.
If you drive that thing often, you actually learn the real tracks. I'll
often
see a race on TV, and just from a "in car" view of a couple of turns,
and
I can usually ID the track they are driving. MK

That and their general inability to operate a computer. Rocks stars aren't
"smrt".
