Shubb capos work on my old National reso, and modern necks don't come any
fatter than that. Also, when properly adjusted, they don't pull the strings
out of tune . They also make a 12 string version for very wide necks and a
classical version for wide flat fretboards.
The *only* thing I like about my kyser is that, because it is big and bright
red, it is easy to find among all my stuff at gigs. I don't think it works
as well as the Shubbs - maybe I should just tie something bright to the
shubb to make it more visible.
