The Fender TeleAcoustic - Seutonius 3Leaguer - 17:52 19-11-05

Hi again.

There's a relatively inexpensive TeleAcoustic available on craigslist
and I'm thinking of getting it. From what I've read here, they have a
great amplified sound, but may require some work.

Here's a quote from a post from a year ago:

"action was set very high, almost lap-steel high, and I had to shave
down the nut and bridge some, and lessen the neck relief dramatically"

Can somebody provide more detail on how to deal with neck relief and
shaving nuts and bridges?

The guitar you're looking at may not need any work. I wouldnt trust any
info.coming from a person who bought an acoustic with lap steel high
action. When you start shaving nuts and saddles you're also got to
start thinking about intonation. A guitar that isnt or wont intonate
on the money aint worth kindling. Play it and see what you think
first if you can.
